lawnmower kawasaki fc150v

    Problems with the engine regulator, engine is racing over its limit and i can not seem to get it to run like it should.
    When looking at te carb when running it seems that the air intake does'nt work correctly, is there anyboddy who can help me.

    First, Welcome to LawnSite.....

    Check ALL throttle linkages and controls for any binding (make sure they move freely).

    Check the throttle shaft butterfly making sure it's tight on the shaft and the screws didn't vibrate loose (remove the air filter base to check this).

    If the above mentioned check OK move to the governor adjustment;


    Then check the High speed RPM adjustment, This engine shouldn't run above 3200 RPM.


    Then you have the throttle cable adjustment;


    If none of the above adjustments do not solve the over rev situation it's possible the governor gear inside the engine has failed and needs a replacement.
