This is my first year and I am currently going part time with thge original intent of picking up some lawns and various garden design, small retaining walls, mulching etc. What I am finding out is that my backlog with items outside of lawn maintence is great.

My question is this.......Have any of you ever started in this industry with the intent of taking on lawns as a part of your offerings and then come to find out that you didn't need to do so because there was enough work in other areas? Thanks in advance.

    we mow and landscape
mowing is a good way to keep a constant
cash flow if landscaping jobs get slow

The markets very each year. At least cutting is somewhat steady. Last year I didn't get any request for tree work(chain saw) but I was out straight with new beds and shrubs. You have to be flexiable.
