I would like to know if laying SOD in November (WI) with temps in the high 30s is a good or bad idea???

Can this be done? Will SOD take?

I think this is foolish, don't think it will work, most if not all will die.

    Professionals what do you think?

yes it can be done, and a lot of people do it........

HOWEVER......it will not take root untill the growing season.

I just picked up a new customer "builder" on the model home I ran a 52" exmark and I only folded the grass "sod" over once.....

this house is on a hill and they wanted to hury up and put in the sod, it was no biggie, but like you stated.....it's yellow already, and it wont take untill later next year...

also I was really afraid of pulling it up.... I installed low lift blades...

If this was me I wold try t oconvince the customer to wait...if they cant then DONT garentee the grass

    Good luck

It will not hurt to lay sod now. It is a good time to do it as we will be getting some snow to keep it wet until the root take.
