I had a lady called and wanted a place about 1000 sq ft either seeded or sodded. It needs to be tilled up a bit and then racked back out other than that its pretty easy. It's flat and located in the front of the building. It's a commercial building if that makes any differance in price. But, I was just curious as to what would be a good price for this job since I havn't done many jobs like this. Also the type of sod would be bluegrass and my price will be about 1.50 a roll. Thanks Chad

From my experience I can sell sod for around $0.60 a sq ft layed. You can handel 1000 sq ft with one or two helpers and have it done in a couple of hours. Prep work would be priced seperately and I don't do this work but I have found lots of info by searching the site. Its not too bad, remember that the sod will pull together a little bit, make sure that its tucked in so that there wont be gaps in between rolls when it compacts.
