I'm on the fence....looking to add another Exmark to the fleet. Having a tuff time deciding on the Lazer A/S series or the HP. We have a 52" A/S right now and never had a problem with it. I'm considering the HP for its lower CG and no mule drive but am not to sure if I like the smaller frame and the smaller pumps. I also would be installing the ultra vac on it too, so I'm a bit concerned on the hp difference. A/S w/28hp Kawi -vs- HP w/23 Kohler Command. Price difference is $400.

Anyone run a HP, which one, and how do ya like it?

5hp for $400 is cheap. The dimensions of each mower are almost identicle too. I would go for the AS

We got the 28 hp kaw AS last year it is a great value and we are very happy with it! We would recommend it to everyone. The mule drive is a non issue...it has been tried and true. Of coarse everything wears out but it isn't that bad to change the drive belt when needed.

It's a no-brainer... stick to what you know.

The grass isn't greener on that side of the fence anyways.
Trust me... I've been over there.

A 28hp Kawi running an ultracut is a much better performance possibility.
You'll never miss the $400 and you certainly won't miss anything if you spend it.

    Get the AS
