I recently bought a leaf loader and this is the first box i am building.

I was wondering if i should use outdoor .5 in or outdoor .75 inch plywood?

Also any ideas for the top? I was thinking of getting a mesh tarp and stringing it over the top of the box and use some ferring strips to screw the tarp to the sides of the leaf box.

Is there any tips you would give out?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I just put one together on my extra 5x10 open trailer. I used 5/8" treated plywood along with all treated 2x4's..I have not bought my mesh tarp yet, been looking at them on line. Northern Tools has some, for mine, I was going to get a 10'x16', think it was $50 give or take a couple $.

I will have to take some pix of it, I ment to do that. will do that wed.

No problem. yeah they are a cheap one but if you get 1 yr out of it you did good. its a nylon mesh instead of the good ones so it will melt i have dropd mine on my muffler on the mower by accident and it melted big time.

Yeah, you were right, I just looked up their web site, and there it was....$30
I am going over there tomorrow to check it out. I just want it to hold leaves in while driving, so it should work for me.
