I live in Pennsylvania and I work for a guy who has a painting and home renovation business, and he recently decided to let me branch and do a little bit of lawncare. We just got our first job. The lady would like us to do her leaf removal, which would include cleaning out the gutters, around the trees and shrubs, etc... The property isn't huge. I'm figuring it will probably take 2 to 3 hours to complete. I was asked to do the bid and I was just wondering if anybody might be able to help me out a little. I was just wondering what would be a reasonable pirce to charge to do this. Thanks!

whats your hourly rate 35-40.00 per man hour or what?

if you want to make 35 a man hour then charge 35.00x3=105.00
    plus a dump fee.

If there will be 2 guys and it takes 3 hours 70.00x3=210.00 (35.00x6=210.00)
    plus dump fee

another thing alot of lco's wont touch leaves for below 60.00 per man hour

That's what our going rate is. We won't go below $60.00 unless there is not even a full bag of leaves and they want them cleaned up. We have a leaf removal job to do this week and it is insane! The leaves are about knee high to my guys in probably about a 20 x 15 foot section. That's going to be fun!

First, I only do leaves in the fall and winter for grass customers who have been with me the entire year.

Leaves in april, first time customer?
Think about your estimate, then when you have the price, double it.
That's my formula for leaves this time of year, for someone I've never dealt with before.
And still I get took but at least now, rarely.
