I doubt that. The tap is before the pressure tanks.

They are trying to prevent rust stains from the well water. Waste of time and money in my opinion.

While stumbling around in search of leaks I happened upon this relic from the past.

    Here's an interesting update.

I received a call this afternoon thanking me for finding the leak and that most of the water in the ditch has gone away...............
Color me surprised:confused:the closest leak that I eliminated was a hundred yards from this suspected spring. I must have eliminated much more water than I figured.

Anyway, it was nice that I received the call. It's seldom that someone calls to say thanks.

It's obvious that I under estimated the amount of water that was being lost. While I feel foolish for the above post. A spring seemed the most obvious cause of the leak as there was no evidence of what wound up being a large amount of water.

I've yet to deal with a well system that has a leak other then irrigation systems. Do you ever recommend a meter to be installed?

Maybe that's a nice arrsenal tool to have? We have like 2 spare meters at the shop.. maybe I'll snag one so I can use it to temporarily install on well systems.
