I don't have a YT account or a video cam but my wife's digital cam does have a video mode. Looks like a rain day for me so maybe I'll try to do that.

Well, I think I am going to go with the 570BTS. Found it for $474 total. I had found the Echo 770 for $459. I figure after reading here with all of your help and reading online, the extra $15 is probably well worth it.

But I haven't put up the video I just took of the 580 blowing firewood yet......LOL. I put down some varying sized pieces of firewood and gave it a try. I guess I should have tried something bigger because it moved them all with ease. Uploading now...never done this before so hopefully it works.

Darn that's right. I hate pulling up to jobs where firewood is scattered all over the lawn.

Here you go. Husky 580BTS in my back yard blowing firewood and some light brush. It didn't do that well on the brush but usually handles fallen branches and light brush like the stuff I cut along my trails and roadway pretty well. It all depends on their shape, how they're laying and how many leaves they have on them. BTW the tires are on that tree because it's part of the dirt bike course.

My 770 would do the same, as well as my br600 mag

They probably would, but I dare say not as easily. I've run side-by-side with both of those units and ran the 770 myself. The 580 has a good bit more power. Not trying to get into a urination contest or anything, but as far as the top of the line units go I don't think anything out there can match the 580/8500 for moving heavy debris. Whether you need all that power and want to carry it around with you everywhere is a personal decision.

Thanks Darryl for taking the time to demo your claim. As Jim said though, I think any good blower will do that. Still that's cool that you took the time to upload and post it.

If anybody else has a wet day today and wants to come over with their blowers and have a contest they're welcome to, lol.
