Well it snowed here today... and since I have converted the lighting system at my home to LUXXO LED MR16 lamps this year, I decided I had better see how they would perform in an up-light application when covered by snow.

So I took some heavy wet snow, compacted it a bit and piled it on top of a bullet uplight fixture and also on top of an inground well light.
I put over 2" of snow on top of each fixture.

When I returned less then 2 hours later all the snow was melted.

I will keep you informed as the winter progresses. (Last year we had a total snowfall of just over 18 feet!)

    Have a great day.

Pictures eh? LOL... ok think of this... A black bullet fixture surrounded by snow with light coming out of it!

In this case I am pretty sure a picture is not worth a thousand words. :)
