I have an idea to get more customers, but don't know the legalities of the idea. My idea is for each referral a customer gives they would get $5 off each week of their lawncare. Is this a legal practice or not? Thanks for the input

I would say yes. However, I do not know the laws in the state of IL. There are some professions that you are not allowed to give a referral fee, or any kind of gift as it is what they call a "kick back". However, I do not think that there is a problem with giving a discounted service for referrals.
