There is a guy selling a Lehr propane powered trimmer on our local Craigslist. I hadn't ever seen one before. I looked up the company and they offer several models and a handheld blower too. Has anyone ever used one before? The one he was selling had a 25cc motor, took .095 line and said the run time on a 1lb cylinder was about 2 hours. I'm not really interested in them but I was curious to see if these things had a following at all...

I bought one last year. The motor is way to heavy. Also it quit running after about 10-12 hrs. of use and I can't get it to restart, so I gave up on it. I wouldn't buy another one.

Propane is big these days. Not tried the hand helds, but some things to consider.

If your guys run out of fuel, the gas station probably doesn't have mini cylinders. Not sure if those small ones are refillable, especially at all stations. Most gas stations are exchange only for propane in this area.

Most small engine guys don't have a lot of experience with propane or carry parts. There is not a huge difference in design, but still something different.

Just to add to the mix they also make 21" mowers that run on propane.

    A push 21" mower
and a 21" self propelled mower
They have an 160cc OHV engine.
