Has anyone tried this out? It has a 40 gallone spray tank on the belly of the frame and the bigger hopper on the back with a spot to stack an extra bag.

Not sure I like the spreader being in the back, it would take some getting used to after using the Perma Green.

I am looking at something for larger properties. I have picked up a lot of school grounds and sports fields this year, some as big as 30 acres and I am looking at at bigger machine.

Do you like the magnum better than what you had? How is it for edging?

Hows the Z Plugger workin out?

i agree. for the same $$ the Z spray will also get you more versatility and is better built.

    Rob,

I am one to let the other guys buy the new toys and get the bugs worked out.
I'd wait and see how the Lesco machine works out.

'Did pick up a z-spray though.
The z-max is an awesome machine.
I've been running it over a year now and I'm TOTALLY satisfied with it.
It is a great machine and I've had outstanding support from L.T. Rich.
    They are good people.

    Spend the extra money.
You will be glad you did.

This was a classic case of what should we do with all these chassis! That machine is a viper mower with a tank instead of a mower deck and a truckster spreader on the rear. Lesco stopped production of the mower with a ton of chassis in stock!

Nice speculation - without any facts:
1.) Lesco doesn't even build the Viper - Modern does on a contract.
2.) The Lesco unit come out 3 years ago now.
3.) Modern still builds that chassis for Lesco and Cub Cadet - They didn't just dream up what do with "a ton of chassis in stock!"

Look at the machine, it's just what i said it is. That info. was from a lesco service center manager! It's a converted mower (Z) not a dedicated application machine. That model mower did not sell well for lesco so they tried to convert the chassis to something else. How many of these do you see out there treating lawns?
