Lessons learned in my first quarter as a chem-only company

    Dont' apply a post-emergent during the transition (green-up) of C4 turf. It WILL stunt it.

    Also, don't apply a glyphosate product OT of turf anywhere near green-up. :( Use corsair or revolver instead.

    These are things that we know but I don't think they've been stressed enough. I'm sure that I'll learn a lot more over the next couple of years. This is something that I enjoy and that I know, but I don't KNOW it, if ya know what I mean.

    One thing I do know, playing damage control isn't fun.

    One thing I have found helpful is to do as much research about each new product you are going to try before you apply. The same goes for equipment setups and the way you choose to run your business. I am in the same boat as you....so far so good. Good luck the rest of the season!

    A bit of advice.............

    We have 2 acres of turf for R&D to test all kinds of products on. We even have a pond for testing treatments and fountains etc.

    Chance favors the prepared mind........ :cool2:
