What do you guys suggest for bumpy/compacted/settled lawn due to years of neglect? The grade is fine. From what I have read so far, aerating adding top soil and seeding seems to be the curative. If top soil is required, how many inches should I use? Keep in mind I have to move the soil by wheel barrow. What do you suggest charging per 1000 square feet? Thanks!

How large is the area? If it is big enough I would use a soil condictioner from bobcat. works wonders. It roto tills, levels and cleans out any debre. (rocks, etc.) I paid $325 a day plus trasnsport. If it is just a yard or two of soil I would just try to fill the ruts and level and then throw down some seed and starter fert.
