When bringing in sand to level up a yard with established grass, do you have to get rid of the grass or can you put fill dirt over it and then sod? What is the best way, spray it first or just scrape the ground with a bob cat?

With warm season grasses you don't have to do anything but spread the sand. The grass will run through the sand.Especially good for bermuda and zoysia, but haven't tried it on centipede.St Augustine likes a sand/compost mix and will run in that.
