It really depends on what coverages you want.

Are you interested in just liability?

Will you be adding on all of your equipment to be covered?

Do you need to be covered for pesticide use?

These are all things that you need to consider. I am insured for up to 1million$ for liability including pest use. My policy also covers all of my equipment. I am a little below $1000 in price.

Another factor in addition to what lawndog said is your business volume. We started out with 1 million liability (which is really only 500k for any "one time" accident) and 10k coverage on equipment - that cost $650/yr -BUT at the end of the year, the insurance CO. audited us and because we made more than a certain amt, they charged us an extra $300.
