I would like to start providing fertilizer and weed control applicatios for my mowing customers. I know I need a applicators license for pesticides but how about the ferilizer. I live in nebraska by the way. also if I do not need a licens for the fert. would it be feasable to offer fert. and not weed control for a year until I obtain an applicators license? thanks.

Every state will have different regulations . In most case you probably can apply fertilizer without a license. Applying a pesticide ( weed control, insecticide etc...) is where the license comes into play. I doubt very much that you could service your customers properly without being able to apply weed and insect controls. Go for the whole program or forget it IMO. Check with your states Ag Dept for your regulations. Good Luck.
