    Hey,

I just bought a new trailer and I'm thinking about moving the license plate. With the drop axles the rear rides really low, and if I go over a speed bump it bends the license plate on the trailer. Is there any problem with mounting it on the rear gate? I won't be able to have a license plate light I don't think however I rarely if ever drive at night. Will this be a problem?

    Cheers

    Hey Jeff

Mounting plate on the rear gate should be fine so long as is clearly visible, but you will need the light on the plate....i thinks to cert(annual yellow sticker) the trailer, they would check for a white light on the plate...I would put one on to be sure....Hate to have a MTO person with bad attitude give you a hard time for not having one.
Check with a Garage that does your certifications to get it right.
