First off I know it has been discussed before and I did a search but did not see what I needed to know.

I have a soil test that calls for 65 lbs of lime using lime type CA. My ? is what is the maximum rate to apply at one time and how long between applications do I need to wait.

Out of the 100 or so soil tests this year this is the first to require lime. Most needed sulfur as our soils here is limestone based causing the ph to be high.

    Thanks in advance.

65 lbs is best applied in 2 applications, anything over 50 lbs is like taking too much vitiman C, it may not hurt but it doesn't help either. Applications should be made atleast a couple of months apart for best results. CA indicates calcitic lime is needed to correct the pH.
