I have just started using a Lincoln ProCut 60 plasma cutting system. I have having some trouble getting a high quality cut in only .125 mild steel. The air pressure is set to sixty, but would it help to turn it up a bit. According to the manual, you can turn it up, but not exceed 120 psi. I am also using a straight edge.

is it cutting out? If thats the case, you've got a bad ground, or possibly water in the CO2. add a water filter if you don't already have one on the compressor.

Can u turn the amperage down on your machine? Mine cuts thin sheet better on the lowest setting.
