How do u bid striping? I worked for my cousin for 12 years painting new stores. I quit him to start my LCO & he went out of business & i sold pumps for him & he gave me line striper sprayer we used it to do fire exit lines in stock rooms the last year i worked for him. Barely used & am tryin to sell, but maybe i should rethink that & keep it!

im just starting this. need to get equipment for painting tho. doing the blacktop ore cement coating is pretty simple, but painting the lines will need more equipment.

i got my painter and some accs. from www.asphaltkingdom.com
and got the layout tools from big foot layout but
i'm still looking for any advice i can get.

if your stuck on pricing look at some websites in your area, but make sure that will cover your cost, big company may buy in bulk and get better price on materials

Is there a way to paint the lines without an expensive line painter?

I have 1 sprayer and do little jobs. Most the jobs I do are small enough that the big companys won't mess with them. I get 2 or 3 jobs scheduled and do them all in one night. Make pretty good money and it is easy and cooler than LCO.

Yes, 2" or 4" roller. Can't use SetFast or it will dry as u r rolling it & have a roller texture. Roller takes longer & not as clean as sprayer.

the sprayer cost me 2000 with a bunch of extra nozzles and has a detachable nozzle
it paints 120 ft/min i don't think thats alot comparing labour for paint by hand
mine is paid for on the frist job
