Little Wonder Problem

    Heard back from Little wounder and Briggs. There saying it has to with the valve and the timming they have to go into it it fix it. well it's been five days and i still don't have it back!! They sure don't want to back there product!!!
    Little wounder needs to find a better motor were reps can find the problem and not all this jacking around! 6 plus weeks in the shop and still counting!!

    Just to let you guys know, I have owned one for 5 years now, it probably has 15 hrs on it. It barley get used because its heavy, and it cloggs up in seconds with even damp leaves then it takes you 10-15 minutes to clean it out! IMO, look into the Billygoat version.

    1) Confirm restrorobs low oil sending unit if good procede to # 2
    2) When it has no spark remove the valve cover and see if one of the valves is stuck while turning it over you need someone to pull it while you watch the valves
    3) if the blower does not have a overhead valve cover then remove the breather and do the same or even better just forget about all the above and just do a compression test. if you have leak down it most likely is the valves

    That's just horsecrap, I think you need to find yourself a better dealer, thou I will say it seems of late every time I have a problem it's that exact same rigmarole... Just can't find reliable help these days :laugh:

    It's not my dealer there going to bat for me Its Brigss who don't stand behind there motor's. But the good news is they are putting a new motor on it!!!! It only took briggs 6 plus weeks to do it. Main thing is we are getting it fixed!!!

    My money is on a prematurely worn exhaust cam lobe, I've seen a few cause this type problem.


    I have NEVER had any problem getting Briggs to ship me anything I needed for a warranty situation including short-blocks or complete engines.

    Also, Sales reps are just that. They sell, Most know very little about diagnosing engine problems. And if your dealer's people were up to par they could have found the problem a long time ago and had your unit back up and running before now.

    Glad to hear something is finally getting done.....

    Whwn the dealer talked to them and emailed them they said a Briggs Tech had to come down and see for themself befor they could do anything about it.
    Talked to him my self and he said he was a master tech with Briggs don't know don't care as long as they back this know!

    Dumb questions here. Isnt a Briggs motor like $200 or something, LONG block version with carb and all??? It sounds like between phone calls, tech calls, emails, techs coming down to have a look, dealers time, your time, and everything included the tally's up to like $1000 in man hours alone...

    Wouldnt it have been easier to just give you the damn motor? Without launching an all out investigation? :hammerhead:

    I guess I could be wrong.
