Just switched out my trencher attachment for a backhoe attachment - on my vermeer LM 42. The machine needs some more weight on the back - I'm guessing around 200lbs. Plow wants to raise up while pulling pipe.

I've talked with a couple of guys about wheel weights and foam filling tires.

I've contacted my local Vermeer Dealer - and they were unable to answer any of my questions. So I have posted them below:

How much does each wheel weight weigh?

How many can I put on a wheel?

We have ours foam filled. No calcium to leak out if a hole develops. No more flats. They add about 80 pounds per tire. The local heavy tire shop did it.

Foam filled tires are great. Spendy too.

It sure beats a lost day due to a flat or spun bead.
