loam question

    I know that a yard of mulch will spread a 10x10 ft area at 3" How much or is it the same area wise for spreading loam? Thankyou for your replyies.

    A cubic yard is a cubic yard. 3' x 3' x 3' = 27 cubic feet or 1 yd x 1 yd x 1 yd = 1 cubic yd or 12 inches x 12 inches x 12 inches = 1728 cubic inches. Don't matter if mulch, loam, sand, silt, clay, gravel, mushroom compost or what ever.
