I wish Lowes and Homedepot sold commercial quality handhelds
I worked for Lowe's some years ago. Associates in lawn & garden are taught (were taught) the selling points of equipment and that was about it. Associates were (officially) required to get to get certified in plant knowledge and product knowledge. That did not always happen due to understaffing in the store. They were also cross-trained to work in other areas of the store. One thing I know for sure, even today...Lowe's contracts out their service work. The shop repairs Lowe's warranty work AFTER they take care of their regular customers.
