It seems like most of the gardeners in this area (So. Cal.) use pvc tubes to hold their rakes and shovels etc. in place for easy access but I can't figure how they keep someone from stealing them if they're in the back yard. I'm talking truck and open trailer here.

I've looked all around and can't find anything. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What about an eyelet on each piece of equipment and a cable lock, like a 4' snowboard lock going through everything?

Thanks, that sounds like it would work. All the cables I have looked at were too big especially where you would attach a lock but the snowboard locks look like they would be just the right size. I was thinking of eye hooks (didn't like it) but drilling a small hole through the ends and using eyelets would look much more professional and not get in the way. Super idea!:clapping:

Have you seen the street value on shovels and rakes these days????? I can just see some crackhead going to a pawn shop with a trunk full of hand tools.
