I think I did pretty good, what do you think? 52" scag hydro with sulky and grass gobbler all for $1200! It runs great and the only issue it seems to have is the park brake kills the motor every time you pull it? is that normal? it wont start with it on, kills the motor even if it's in neutral and the blades are off .... I just unplugged it and it seems to be a little more convenient that way and it's still functional. Any ideas? Also any idea how to tell what year it is?

Yeah that looks pretty nice, doesn't look to have much wear to it,
for $1200 and a hydro in the condition it looks to be, if that parking brake
is your only problem that's a really good deal.

Matter of fact I would expect to pay as much for a belt drive in that condition, with the bagger and velke,
now maybe it's wet because it rained or the picture did it wrong but the bag looks almost new.

The engine appears to be a Kawasaki, probably the OEM, if I'm not mistaken that's top of the line, too.

It might take some getting used to that HUGE fixed deck, but other than that...

Looks to be 4 years old, what year is it?

Thats what I figured, cheap/easy fix

Bag is almost new, lady bought it for her employees to mow around her building but they now have a company doing it for her.

Not sure about the year, short of calling scag how can I figure that out?

It might take a little time to find the little steel plate but it can be done via the model AND serial number,
which once you start looking for parts you will need that information but I'm sure there's time for that.

    nice mower, great deal.... :)

As TS mentioned, find the serial number and model number on the plate and call any dealer and they should be able to give you all the info on the mower.
