man, I was outside enjoying a nice cool day, having a few beers:drinkup: and just happened to look at my boots that were sitting in my garage and saw this little bad boy crawling into one of my boots. Man people say everything happens for a reason, but if I wasnt outside I might have had a surprise in the morning.....what kinds of snake is this, and is it poisonous???...

maybe a king snake. If not can't tell but maybe a coral snake as well. Unsure of either need a closer look. <--------not a snake expert.

Maybe you could zoom in with the camera.
The head doesn't look shaped right for a coral snake though.

Most likely the king snake maybe an eastern black. They are non-venomous

If it is a kingsnake don't kill it.

They eat poisonous snakes and rodents and are immune to most posionous snake bites in your area.

This is the second one that I have caught....1st one was bout 3 ft...scared the crap outta me. I had it trapped under the same bucket for about 3 days before the heat finally did its work....my neighbor said they are thirsty and hot and looking for a cool place to lay and something to drink...But, yeah I just put all my stuff that was on the ground on shelves.....even my boots

I belive coral snakes are black with red/yellow bands and are deadly. That is probably a king snake but I am not sure.
