I might take a look at a 03' Great Dane 61" (not sure of the motor size) stander, with 79 hrs on it, it said in the paper "like new" they are asking 3900.00, I was wondering how much one of these are brand new, and how they do on banks??? are they easy to use?

I paid $4500 for my new 52" Surfer, but it was leftover stock, ( the dealer only had 2 left, mine and an identical unit) I'd say it's pretty cheap, though. As far as slopes I haven't used mine on super steep slopes yet but it's done great so far, you just use some body english. Kinda fun!! And yes they are easy to use, took me all of 10 mins to get agroove on. (but I've used lots of other ztr's," Your results may vary") JK LOL

Look at a stander first, before you go look at that surfer. It might before sale because the owner went and bought a stander. They are alot more that $3900 new.

A stander will handle slopes better than a surfer. I know I have ran both.

If it checks out nice when you scope it out, I'd snatch it up, I doubt you'll find anything comparable production wise for that kinda coin....

that seems pretty cheap for only 79 hrs on it. If it has a Kawasaki motor it will be 23 hp I think if it has a kolhler or Briggs it will be more. They are good on slopes and easy to handle you can get in and back into areas you never thought you could get a mower.
What i like about the super surfers is the quick height adjust, easy to get on and off and good visibility cause you can see 360 cause your standing however they aftermarket bagging systems make it ackward and bulky .

If you have the chance you may try a stander also, but I wasn't biased when I demo'd them both. Like you the price was there for me with the surfer, I bought my 48" for $4300 and haven't had a single problem or regret.

I sorta liked the stander, but you couldn't pay me to buy from my local Wright dealer and there's no way I'm buying a ztr that I've gotta break out a tool box and jack to change the cutting height on..

That, why I won,t buy a Wright. If they made a foating deck I'd buy two.

If it checks out ok, I think that is a great price. I almost bought a 61" Stander with a 23 hp Kaw on it for $5700. It had about 160 hrs. on it. I didn't buy because it was just to big for my needs.
