im looking to buy a 1 ton roller and i cant find a dealer in my area can anyone give me some info ?
In mY opinion the only way to go when it comes to compaction is BOMAG. Quality of product is incredible and compaction is second to none.
Let me guess lawn rolling?
I'm going to guess sub base compaction and asphalt....
Would you really use that on a yard?
It's a big thing up here. There are guys that run two all day doing yards, but it can be a short season if it dries to fast.
It would seem to me that it would cause problems like over compaction, breaking sprinkler heads and the like. ALthough it problably would solve the problem of worm mounds.
If we use alot of fill to bring a lawn up to grade more than 6" we compact in lifts with our Bomag plate compactor. It's 20" wide, great piece. It's another one of those things that you don't use everyday but if you need it, you gotta have it!
Ingersol Rand is another brand to look at for a roller. You will have to search around equipment auctions to find what you are after. Companies that do patching usually have 1 ton rollers or check your local municipality they may have one forsale.
