Looking for a .wav file that sounds like...

  1. I went to a website once and the backgroundnoise was a rainbird impact head. I want that noise on my site!!! Anyone know where I can find that??????

I have been working on my site for the last 12 hours or so, man there is so much to do. You finish one page and then you have to finish the pages that page links to.....and so on....and so on.....

Tony, do you remember where that website was? There might be a way to right click and save the wav file, or check the source code and copy the filepath to get it.

I guess there are copyright issues involved though??

  3. i can't remember where it was and it is driving me crazy. Over the last couple of days I have been going and searching for irrigation contractors and landscape contractor's pages trying to find it again....to no avail.

I did read though that sound might not be a good idea. I still want it though it sounded neat.

The only thing I can recommend is to try and find the site again. If you find the site, you can view the source and download the file.

As for the sound itself, just be careful you don't add something that is going to annoy your visitors. It may sound cool to you but if it annoys the people who are coming to your site to purchase your product or service, you are defeating the purpose. In many cases, a good business site is one that is clean and not filled with distractions. But, if you feel it really adds to the experience and will encourage people to buy, go for it.

With that said, I love your ebay image, that cracked me up :)

    Hey.... SprinklerGuy...

    Try this link..http://www.sfx-gallery.co.uk/

Type in sprinkler in the search field. There are two types.

    Tony -

    My $.02,

I'm planning on including music to the update of my website, and the advice I got (which seems to hold true), is to make sure there's on 'off' button for the music or sound, so people can turn it off.

if u are using internet explore or what ever browser for that matter, somewhere there is a history button (top of screen on explore) click on that might be able to find the site.

I actually think Rain Bird had it for an opening page when I viewed it. It was awhile ago though and they have taken it down since.
