    :help:
I need to know where the best place (best and easiest) is to get LD50s for common household chemicals. I really don't want to root through hundreds of MSDS to find them. Is there a good web site that lists them? The point of all of this is so when neighbours of customers whine about me spraying "deadly poisons" all over etc... (I'm sure you've heard it all before) I can give them the numbers saying that bleach, drain cleaner etc... things common in their homes are x-times more poisonous than 24d (Killex, Par-3). I realise that some people are beyond hope and because it's called a pesticide its gonna kill us all from cancer, but a little more ammo for me would be great. Thanks in advance for any help.

I work for Davey Tree in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and have been treating lawns and trees with pesticides (as well as regular tree care and pruning) for about four and a half years.

That info should be listed on the MSDS sheets for each of those products and every product, I believe, has a MSDS sheet.

The MSDS for listerine lists benzoic acid (one of the three ingredients listed) with an Acute Oral Toxicity (AOT) of 2350mg/kg. Trimec Classic weighs in at >5000 mg/kg. Hydrogen peroxide (Pfizer topical) AOT is 376 mg/kg.

MSDS for listerine & hydrogen peroxide acquired from www.msds.com .
MSDS for Trimec acquired from http://www.cdms.net/manuf/manuf.asp .

Dr. Vargus plant pathologist from Mich. State has a fungicide resistence seminar and at the end he lists a bunch of common products everyone uses everyday with LD rates that will kill you quicker then pesticides.
