    Hi All,

We are looking for our next Head Start LCO. Are you just starting out and would you like to have us create for you a new logo, flyers, and website based on our templates? Do you want to create a business plan? We helped Shamrock Lawn Care get up and running with his new free marketing material and would like to help you too.

If you are interested, just post a reply or pm and tell us a little about you and your company.

My biz name is Dragonfly Lawn. This will be my second full-time year. I am looking at ideas on website, flyers, doorhangers etc. I already have a proffessional logo, but only amateur flyers. I'm ready to grow on a budget!

Hi my name is Ryan. I just started a lawn care buisness called Howeth Lawn Care. Pretty basic, but all of the names I like are already taken. I just recently purchased all new lawn equipment and am ready to start advertising for this year. Im small starting out; just me, my truck, and my lawn equipment. I would be very appreaciative if you could help me on my journey of marketing, flyer creation, and logo design. I live in a community that is comprised of 6 small towns with a total county population of around 40000. To my knowledge, there are at least 4 diffrent lawn care services that are advertising their name in diffrent marketing situations. There are a lot of retirees living in my county which hopefully means that a lot of them will need their lawn cared for. A couple of goals i have set for myself are to take this lawn care business, which is for now just part time, and make it a full time job. I currently a paramedic for the local ambulance service, so i have a lot of free time on my hands since we work 24 hour shifts. Gopher, please lend me a helping hand.

I'd be interested. I've got the equipment and a few accounts. I'm just getting started in the biz. I'm looking to get a logo and vinyl letter my trailer. I'm also having a hard time coming up with flyers. I haven't put my business plan on paper, and know I need a website, but haven't even thought about that yet.

    Team Gopher,

So far you your site has been a great help. I am starting in the biz full time this year. I have been working on this biz for approx 3 months now (Full Time).

I left a job 3 months ago making reaaaallllly good cash (6 figures). It was one of those safe secure jobs that everyone talks about that really doesn't exist.

    A little background,
I have been doing LC work for approx 5 years when i had time (5 Customers). Last year I got completely out of the biz because i was traveling a lot. I was lay-ed off 3 months ago when the company lost a large federal contract. I decided that I wasn't going back to work for someone else.

I already have a lot of equip (see sig.)
    I have already ordered doorhangers.
Just lettered the truck today (Trailer will be done next week)
    very basic website up
I borrowed several logo templates from your site and cut / pasted together.
I plan on putting out fliers as listed below
    5000 beginning of march
    5000 march 15
2000 magnetic biz cards march 31
50 12x18 yard signs will be put next to roads leading to developments that i want to service.

Newspaper advert starts on wed this week, will run every wed for 3 months
I plan on writing articles for the local paper which will be published for free (community service type articles IE: Benefits of Aeration, Why do we need Lime, Proper way to prune, etc.). These will be published on Wed and will refer to authors AD on page XX.

I have not been able to run demographics on the area's that i am in (They don't drill down to this area).

I have attached the logo, truck, and sign pic's. If some of you folk's could provide some feedback, it would be greatly appreciated. If you could help in any way i will be extremely grateful. I am really what you would say betting the farm on this. Failure is not an option since I have basically used up all of my cash reserves or will have by June.

If anyone can find better demographics for my area (21921), it would be a big help.

Based on my marketing approach, what do you feel the likelihood of picking up 70 accounts would be for this year.

    Thanks in advance

    Hey Team Gopher,
You guys really helped shamrock out a lot, I followed the posts about that for a while and it seemed as though he will do well with all the help you gave him. I am 20 years old, i've mowed grass for other companies since I was 16 and just started my own this past june. I now have 31 full time customers that I do on the weekend and I work a full time job during the week to make ends meet. I think I could use all the help I can get to go full time this summer.
