    Where are you located? What kind of stone?

    Cold climate - 6" of 3/4" minus, 2" stone dust, lay stone, sweep polymeric stone dust, lightly mist.

    Also, be sure to use a layer of commercial duty geo-textile fabric UNDER the aggregate base.

    no. for stability. and to keep aggregate from inter-mixing with sub-soil.

    so it goes below stone dust then?


    btw, the stone is called gosian stone, its a local rock out of mass.

    Two questions:

    1. How important is the geo-textile below the sub-base?

    2. What do some of you more experienced guys think about using mason (paver) sand in joints between pavers?
    I've heard several ways of doing things: poly sand, paver sand, and sweeping dry mortar mix..
