We have been doing a lot front porches, and stoop overlays lately. Seems to be a big thing. Unfortunately, after looking back on the last few we've done, they all seem to have the same key features. Almost like you can see similarities in them all.

I want to try to mix things up a bit, and wanted to get some new fresh ideas. If you dont mind, can you guys post some porch pics for the masses.

    thanks.

Not an overlay - but a porch idea.

This is an overlay with a couple of steps with rock added in for fun.

the idea is right, now just try using some different styles of materials and different products. i dont know how many different suppliers you have there, but get some good samples to show people and try the different products. also, try some different designs. you can use the same style of paver or stone, just do some research on different patterns and layouts.

on that last picture, do you put the interlock over the existing patio? I've never done a front patio..

We set the brick on 1" of bedding sand. Then we just hand tamp to put it flush with the capstones.
