My company will not touch a residential at this point because of our commercial work load it's just not worth the hassle. Recently at one of my housing developments( we do the commons area's and entry) I was approached by one of the residents about doing his yard. The yards in this particular development are the exception to the rule having about 2 acres of turf. However all the yards are maintained by much smaller LCO's that depend on these properties for income and reference material. The gentleman that approached me was looking to save a buck or two and asked for a quote. The LCO currently doing the property is doing a very good job, so I hit him with $125.00 per cut. Guy's jaw hits the ground, he's only paying $140.00 per month on a 41 cut schedule. If the LCO had been doing a bad job I would have quoted a price to get it, instead now the property owner has a greater appreciation for his current LCO and the price he's paying.
