I have been looking at INTL. 4700 lo pros with 12ft landscape dumps. There old chem lawn spray trucks with new bodies. They have new tires, paint, beds, pto driven dumps and pa inspection. Price range is $17900 to $19900. Trucks ages are from 94 to 2000. Now does any one own one? Problems with them? Price of new brakes for them? Has any one bought a truck from Royal Truck & Equipment Inc. in Coopersburg, Pa

    Thanks

I checked with them about converting my truck into a dump and was impressed. Probably a winter job. Very professional place. They are located about 10 minutes from me and see the 4700's you are looking at. I don't know maint. costs but was wondering the same thing. Also some nice cabovers. Matt

Im also looking at their trucks. But why a low profile?? Do you only want the 21,500 gvw? Also the front bumper isnt even high enough to clear over a curb, its only maybe 5 inches.

Im looking into a 4700 with a 14 ft dump, or 12 ft dump, Also Looking into Freightliners FL 70.

Check this out. Im working with them to build me one. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2000...tegoryZ63734QQihZ015QQitemZ250024074092QQrdZ1 I like this one but it only has a GVW of 18000, reserve is 34,k

We have a 4700 LP and it is a great truck and works every day. I think that those prices are a little on the high side considering that you can buy those cab and chassis trucks from $6500 to $10000 with out a bed on ebay every day. Go buy the truck and have the bed installed and save $5000. I have started buying and selling dump trucks in the last 6 months and the LP trucks sell really well because they can be loaded by a skidloader unlike a lot of the larger trucks with 22.5's or larger tires. I have a dump trucks for sale now for $16,500 1999 F800 6 speed cummins with a/c 10' dump 155,000 miles.

I agree, price is too steep. I have one of those old Tru Green trucks. Its a '96. It may not be a big curb jumper, but loading things on the rear or it is nice since its so low. I was looking at F450-550's and for less $$ you can have a heavier truck, reliable T444 (7.3DI) engine + allison trans.

My 4700 is excellent. Ok now the things I had to replace since I bought it are, Brakes, Tires, dump body motor rebuild, Trans, coolent system. Just remember that when you are buying a dump body built from a chasis that the chasis its self is probably only worth about half of the asking price and the rest is the cost of the body and controls and labor. These are difficultto reclaim. Call me 973 332 0734. I will give you an excellent deal on mine. All I can say is that it worked very well for my purposes, but as I got in to more heavy duty construction and towing I quickly found its peak cababilities. Im about 40 minutes from you and will help you save alot of money. Also my truck has a ton of new parts and is basically ready to go.
