Want to hear your opinions on this. I bid a 41,200 sqft job and true green came in and bid it a 90 dollars per app. How can they make money at this. Guy said i was to proud of my company. I responded with yea i kinda am, was professional did not bash TG like i would like to but simply put it that i could guarantee that he is paying for Mosley water and my 5 rds will look allot better than there 8-10 apps guarantee. I use the best product and the correct amount of product needed period. 4 dollars a gallon fert is up and they come in a bid at 90 a app i dont get it.

they are like the walmart of fertilizing...they put the small guys out of business lol...people see their commercials and assume they are the best just because they are a bigger company...but that's not always the case...you may be able to do just as good of a job or even better...alot of people get caught up in the hype

hopefully your customer will realize your service is better and worth the extra money. especially if they try to call and want to talk to you directly, more than likely if they call TG there not gonna talk to a person or their call will not be returned right away

We'd be around $140 to $150 per app. I lost one last year to TG $75 per app and they out bid me to $35. She called right before the winterizer went down and wanted us to come back. It's the money hype and usually come back.

Yea it will be nice because i just got the call that i will be doing the yard right across the street. They quite TG because they kept coming out last year more than 10 times and her lawn still was not that great looking in my opinion.

greenbaylawns you would be at 150 for 41,000 sqft ? that still seems low to me.

$150 for 41,000 sq ft is dirt cheap for my area. If that job was here in Mass my bid would be $195 and that would be on the lower end. I do 12k's for $80 so I cannot comprehend $90 per application.

and this source is quite knowledgeable. He or she stated that TG isn't allowed to be used by the city as a chemical applicator unless intense scrutiny and all other channels have been explored. Guy last year tried to use them as a sub and was turned down...
