probably your cheapest way to go is: if you have mostly larger trees, like 18" dbh or bigger dbh- diameter breast height. something like oak, maple, ash, hickory, a lot of stuff you may be better off getting a saw mill guy in there, see what he will pay you for the wood once it is cut. then pay a company to go in and cut your trees for you and clear the brush. tell them to leave the trees in 20' lengths or whatever. cause think about it like this. i use stihl chain saws. they are the best but also the most expensive. if i was you i would get like an 029 which is just over 300 dollars. then may also want like an 044 or larger which is gonna be at least 700 dollars and can run up to over 1600. depending on what size trees you have. now also if you have a 2 foot chain saw in theory you can cut a 4 foot tree. really more like a 3 1/2 footer. but if you go and sell that to a mill they will come and get it and pay you. so that may be your best bet.
