what exactly does the HP designation in all of the mowers mean? just curious. i was talking to someone today about how the footprint is smaller on a Lazer HP vs a full Lazer. maybe it's a boredom thing too. ;)

    Mike,

Good question that we do get every now and then. The first models to get the HP designation were the Turf Tracer HP's. The HP was simply an abbreviation or acronym for High performance, High productivity and high profitability. The Turf Tracer HP was also a smaller version of a bigger brother just as the Lazer HP is to the Lazer Z. Just a new twist on an already successful machine in both examples.

    Thanks

    Terry

I thought that HP meant when referring to walk behinds that the unit has a floating deck w/ gauge wheels . Is that right?

    laina,

That is were it started. The HP as Terry stated is able to do that with a floating deck and anti-scalp wheels.

The faster you can cut and better the grass looks after you mow, means more money.

    Thanks, Fred.
