I have an 07 GMC Sierra 2500HD with LT245/75R16 tires. I need new tires and am considering going bigger. The wheels leave a lot of open wheel well on the new body style. Does any know if the NBS will accept 265s or 285s?
I was looking at an 06 GMC 2500HD that had 285s and it looked good.
    Thanks,
    Bob

I have 285's on my nbs with a tiny bit of rubbing at full lock. The nbs trucks have alittle harder time fitting 285's then the older trucks, but it can be done just have to turn the tb's up alittle and trim the plastic.

I just put the Firestone Destination MT on my truck. 285/75R16. I raised the torsion bars to level out the truck and got the truck realigned. Doesn't scrub at all. Several people around here are running a 305 or 315 with no clearance issues.

The Firestones dont howl or ride rough like other mud terrains. I am extremely pleased.

stepped up to bfg AT in 265 and no issues then this past winter went with a 285 and no issues again, thats on our 02 HD.

no idea why chevy puts those little donuts under there, i dont think the new trucks look complete without a new set of tires.

To answer the question about the donut tires, they are on there to produce better hp and torque numbers.

I just put Kelly Safari 265s on. No issues fitting. And they look a heck of a lot better than the 245s. Thanks for your responses.
