I built treated wood deck. I also am building a paver patio off this deck. Well my question is this, I want to build the steps (2 to 3 steps) out of treated lumber for a frame and the riser, with pavers inset as the tread. What is my best way to do this? Not really in the construction, but my concern is drainage. If I just build frames and set them on top of patio pavers I will not get adequate drainage and my frames will rot. Any suggestions, ideas, is very appreciated.

Regarding drainage and rot issues, do the steps have to be made out of treated wood? Could you install the steps out of concrete SRW units instead? A picture would be helpful.
