Is it true that tractor kits can be purchased and home assembled? An acquaintance told me they are shipped in crates from the Orient and elsewhere. Anyone heard of this or recommend it? I've searched the web for info, no success. Thanks.

I also did a search and I only could find tractor kits for printers. :(

This would be interesting. If you find anything on this, let me know. :)

I think you are talking about the Nellie Belle Tractors. You can buy them in kit form from:

I do not know anyone that has one or about the quality. Good Luck

When I was in the market for a new compact tractor I explored similar tractors [hobbyhorseranch.com] and found that the available tractors were either Belarus from Russia or Rhino from China. Also found some gray market Kubotas. Then I talked to some owners and found that replacement parts were impossible to find. One fellow needed a new wiring harness and none was available. Search the web under compact tractor, garden web, farminfo.com, etc.

I researched and test drove Kubota, New Holland, JD, and bought a 35HP MasseyFerguson. Third year, no problems. lots of hours, works good, good dealer, low price comparatively. Good luck, WillM>
