Reported November 7, 2007 in the Delaware County Daily Times, Page 10, by Rose Quinn: THORNBURY - A subcontractor working on the grounds at the Golf Course at Glen Mills was killed when the lawn tractor he was riding flipped, falling onto him, authorities said. Don McNeill, the Glen Mills School business manager, confirmed a fatality involving a subcontractor occurred on the grounds about 1 p.m. He declined to elaborate. The golf course is located on the campus of the Glen Mills School. According to Pennsylvania State Police, the worker is a 23-year-old Hispanic male from Delaware. Authorities are withholding his name pending family notification. He was driving the tractor down a hill when, for unknown reasons, the tractor struck a smaller hill, causing him to be ejected. The tractor then overturned onto the worker. Several bystanders made attempts to perform CPR on the worker, but his injuries were too severe. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Though state police are labeling the death as accidental, the official cause and manner of death will be determined by the Delaware County Medical Examiner's office.
