manual sod cutter

    i'm looking for a manual sod cutter usually has a blade and wheels and someway to push it. where can i buy such a thing? :confused:

    I just gotta ask, why would anyone want to even attempt to push a MANUAL sod cutter through turf :confused: Never heard of a manual sod cutter myself.

    There great if you have a small area to do, usually less than 20' x 20'. Try a larger local hardware store for one.

    Maybe for tiny areas,patch up jobs etc,one might be adequate.But if one has any sized area of sod to stripe,and if he does not have enough business to justify buying a power sod cutter,id advise to rent one.

    Central Landscape Supply, catalog supply, has the SodKicker. It has a roller instead of wheels. Works good for small areas. It listed for $245 in 2004.

    i think A M Leonard sells one but not 100% for sure. I know i have seen them before somewhere might want to check them out online

    You can rent for $10 about any home depot or other supply place. They look like something your grandfather would have used 90 years ago. Its a lot of work and might make you look silly doing it. The automatic ones are great and you will be done in no time and will look like a pro.
