I have yet to do this type of marketing, but am thinking, wow, you could get alot of ads out in parking lots.
You will have to walk the lots but it seems to be well worth it. LOTS of cars in a condensed, parking area. And there are so many lots out there.
I understand half of the vehicles in the lots wll be non home owners/teen punks/etc., but this seems to be a marketing idea to at least explore.

Anyone care to debunk this idea?

You may want to ask the store your marketing in front of... I think alot of people may just throw the flier on the ground and Store owner might get a little mad that there are hundreds of your fliers around his lot.

Do you speak from experience or are you just guessing.. Because who says someone could not have gotten hold of your fliers or you paid someone to hand them out and they did that... I never did it but I am wondering could they really fine you for that, I feel like they could only fine you if you admitted to it.

You can get calls from all over - I'd rather advertise in the newspaper if I had to choose between the 2. What you want is area density.

I personally am really annoyed when this happens to me in a parking lots. Usually colored paper mono-tone.

I'd have to say a yard signs are a better way to go....but they have their issues as well.

Flyers are better left at houses.

I have had experience, I sent a few guys down to my local mall, not only were they asked to leave, we later got a call from the police.

The police only call if someone bitched.

I will try it this weekend and let you know how it went.

Isnt it amazing how society would rather ***** than just shut their mouths and let commerce do it's thing?

Unreal. This is yet another thing that is wrong with the world we live in today.

I wouldn't take it as far as calling the cops but I hate getting peoples advertising sh*t on my car or truck. I don't want someone touching my vehicle. I think most people feel this way. You might get a few calls, but most people grab them off their car and crumple them up without even looking at them. Just my opinion, though. I would say advertising at homes, in the paper, direct mail, signs, etc would be much more it!

I found a flyer this week lying in the gutter in front of a customers house. Rolled up like a scroll. I still have it in my truck. NOw I have no idea if this was intended for my customers house or if this is just where it blew to, but he had quoted $30....I get $60. Wow.
