Alright, so I am planning on doing my first retaining wall for a customer here in a few weeks. I have built a wall before, but not an actual retaining wall, it was just a free standing landscape wall by a patio.

Anyways I am planning on using Allan Block AB Stones for the wall. Just want to make sure I have my estimated materials correct.

The wall will be 20 feet long and 3 feet high. For my base I will use Road gravel and am estimating I will need 2 tons (that includes extra for over digging in an area and after compaction) for a 6" base.

Then I am figuring on another 2.5 tons for backfilling the wall too with crushed #8. Do these numbers sound right or am I way off.

    Thanks
