Manual says 3200 RPM on new model Kaw on Metro21" (FJ180V).

    I have 6hp Kaw's I run @ 3500 & nothing I can find in their specs says you can't.

Set this one & 3500RPM as well...?!?!

  2. Set all my kawi 5 horse thou the new 6.5 at 3600 rpm under no load with the blades spinning.

Manufactor set their speed to what keep's the mower under liability guidelines.

Kawasaki's 5 though 6.5 are rated at 3600 .....The larger vtwin's are rated at 3750.

True...however the manual is not specific to the mower...it's universal "High & low may vary depending on equip on which engine is used"...so it has nothing to do w/mower safety....

Don't remember this max setting in manual on the 6hp's but believe it was 3500....

  4. It has to do with how fast the blades spin .The manuel will tell you a 25 vtwin horizonal shaft is 3600 max .The toro we got this engine on it came at 3830 straight from toro ...about 3750 with the blades spinning.

Ive got small kawi's set at 3600 with em spinning since 96 and they still humming.
