I bought some Lesco Transition Blend in November and have about 40lbs left, is there an expiration date on seed, if so, any ideas how long the seed is good after opening the bag? Thanks!!!

yes there is an expiration date, should be on the tag that tells you the varities of seed in the blend. It's not like its all going to not germinate after that date, it is just no longer guranteed to be the % on the lable. Within a years time it will lose some germination but not enough to realy notice. Spread it a little heavier if you are in doubt. If it was stored dry and kept from extreme heat and cold it will last longer too. If it was not, or is more than a year or 2 old i'd say just use it on your lawn and see what happens. Don't risk using it on a customers lawn and then possible have to coma back and overseed again.
